Buying a firearm online is straightforward, but it’s essential to follow the right steps:
1. Find an FFL Dealer
Your firearm must be shipped to a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer, no matter where you are in the United States.
2. Check Local Laws
Before buying, make sure to understand your local and state laws regarding firearm ownership and purchasing.
3. Age and Residency
You must be at least 21 years old and a legal resident of your state to buy a handgun, stockless shotgun, complete AR or AK receiver, or stripped lower receiver. There’s an exception for active-duty military personnel.
4. Know the Restrictions
Be aware of shipping and sale restrictions. Old Guard Armory doesn’t sell to certain locations, including Chicago, Massachusetts, Washington D.C., and Puerto Rico.
